Whilst many restaurants will be closed for the Thingyan break, a growing number of businesses are deciding to stay open for much, if not all of the upcoming holidays (April 10-19th)
Thingyan this year coincides with a government recommended “lockdown” asking people to stay at home, apart from necessary visits to purchase food & medicine. These rules will likely vary in strictness from township to township, but
I would recommend following government advice and staying at home as much as possible.
Here is a selection of restaurants & bars that will be braving the holidays and delivering across Yangon throughout.
Please note dates and timings may change, but I will do my best to keep everything updated the best I can. Do let me know if there is anyone I have missed

For more information on Burmese food I would highly recommend getting your hands on a copy of Mandalay, a recipe book by the brilliant London based Burmese food writer MiMi Aye.
